Will Closing my online high interest savings account hurt my credit score?
I recently opened an online, high-yield savings account with Schwab, but I am very unhappy with both the account and the company so far. I would like to close it and move my savings to ING direct, but I don't want to jeopardize my credit score. Any advice would be wonderful. -Alex

- Got nothing to do with your credit. Did you borrow money from Schwab?
- Don't worry about it. Checking, Savings, and CDs don't show up on your credit report. Only lines of credit and loans, and inquiries into your report.
- it does not report to the credit file
- No, closing any of assets account does not matter. Only credit accounts matter.
