High Interest Investment

Will Closing my online high interest savings account hurt my credit score?

I recently opened an online, high-yield savings account with Schwab, but I am very unhappy with both the account and the company so far. I would like to close it and move my savings to ING direct, but I don't want to jeopardize my credit score. Any advice would be wonderful. -Alex

  1. Got nothing to do with your credit. Did you borrow money from Schwab?
  2. Don't worry about it. Checking, Savings, and CDs don't show up on your credit report. Only lines of credit and loans, and inquiries into your report.
  3. it does not report to the credit file
  4. No, closing any of assets account does not matter. Only credit accounts matter.
